New Fishing License requirements for Salt Water Fisherman
After many years of trying the DEC has now made it mandatory for all LI fisherman to have a valid license. Read more here, and here.
New Fluke Regulations for 2009 Announced on March 25th, 2009
For 2009, the minimum size limit will be 21 inches, compared to 20.5 last year. The bag limit will be two fish, down from four. Additionally, there will be a split season:
Open May 15 - June 15.
Closed June 16 - July 2.
Open July 3 - August 17.
Closed thereafter.
