Out fishing off Outter Thimble Island near the 100' drop off, Incoming tide
using chunk of Porgys we had three very heavy hit that straightened out two 60lb swivels
and snapped 30lb test. caught a couple blues. I was wondering if there have been any Blues or Makos caught mid sound this year
We were using number 8 hooks and one hit took the bait whole ( a big chunk of porgy) and ran with it an then spit it when we tried to set the hook it had to bigger than a blue fish.
Going back with heavier gear tomorrow
