Every summer my Illinois son visits me in Late August / Early September and wants to go fluke fishing.  As it is the end of the season, I'm sad to say he has NEVER caught a single fluke on any of the party boats I've taken him on.  At that time of year, there are actually very few caught by anyone on the party boat.  We usually fish out of Mattituck and once out of Orient and Captree. But am very willing to go anywhere on North or South Fork of Long Island to make his vacation with me special.  HELP  HELP  HELP  HELP PLEASE

Can anyone tell the the BEST POSSIBLE LOCALE to give him a fighting chance of coming up with a fluke at this time of year.

Thanks so much!   Susan ..... he always heard me speak about the "old days" at buoy 5 off Shoreham when pulling in 30 or 40 fluke was an "average" day.
