Memorial Day Weekend:  A great weekend of fishing. We fished the Noreast Striper Tournament with John Wellman aboard. Saturday the bass action was fast right off the bat. A dozen or more fish caught with two fish we were thinking of weighing in but later decided not to. Sunday we went back to the same spots and landed 17 more fish with 5 fish at keeper size but again too skinny to weigh. Although one was close.
On Monday we set out for the same spots (if it "ain't" broke don't fix it). The action was slower due to the heavy boat traffic. We still managed 6 fish, 3 were keepers. Two of the fish ended up going to the scales. Our combined weight of the two was 26 to 28 lbs. Needed them to add up over 30 lbs to be in the money.
