6 of us went to the Linda Wreck to try for some shark on Sunday, 7/16/06. Put out 4 poles, 2 with bunker, one with mackeral, and the other with a fillet from a bluefish we caught on Friday... Got one hit from a ??? Shark on the bluefish fillet and that was it all day. We did see that it was a shark because it dragged the bait up from around 20 feet of water and surfaced around 20-30 yards from the boat. Couldn't tell what kind of shark it was though. No other shark action, and only one bluefish caught on the shark pole. The blue was probably around 9lbs or so... Wasn't much of a fight on the 50TW Penn reel... [:D] We fished till around 3:30 or so until we called it a day. On the way back home we saw the birds workin and managed to catch a couple of dozen ****tail blues... We were chumming pretty heavy and went through 3 - 5 gallon pails of bunker chum. It was so nice out there that we weren't drifting very much at all... We couldn't get much of a chum slick going. :(
