Fished the Fire Island Reef on Friday for 2 keeper fluke to 6lbs.

Used Squid and and the large peverbian spearing

Caught around 8 or so shorts along with a half dozen skates as well.

Water temp was 74... pretty fast drift too... needed an 8oz to hold bottom

New here. I believe this could be a good thing. Anyway I fished the FI Reef Sun. 80-13-06 three keepers on the first drift, 1st. 6lbs. 2nd almost 9lbs. 3rd 19 inches after seeing first two almost threw that one back, glad I measured it. Wasted gas the rest of the day, after that only shorts & skates. There were just 2 of us on the boat, I took my friend from work out fishing, the dead stick had the first fish, my buddy had the 9 pounder, I had the 19 incher. So much for knowing what you are doing!
