Hi,

We will be visiting relatives in Woodmere this August.  I would like to take the boys fishing one day.  Can anyone recomend a good charter.  Can we fish anything other than Bluefish ?

Thanks,

Shimon

Captain Lou in Freeport's Nautical Mile has been a mainstay for years.  Always get fluke in the summer, as well as blackfish.  Plenty of sandsharks and bluefish all over.  If your kids like crabbing, Copiague's Tanner Park has a dock, no permit required, and there are blue claw all over the place in July, and very nice size for eating.  More fun for the kids, instant gratification.
