Im lookin to try to try out fire island inlet. I dont have a 4-wheeler so is there any place that i can park? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

I believe you can get the night fishing permit again...One of the places it allows you to park in is Field 2, which you can walk to the inlet from..It's a bit of a hike, but I have done it in my heavy waders...Would advise against the heavy waders lol..

You can also park at the captree dock(the south most one, not the one by the boats), and walk to the bridge and fish the pilings.

I got a 22lb Bass out of Sore Thumb from the beach last thursday...Lost a 35+lber in the wash tues...They are out there...I have a good feeling about this fall..

As long as the water temp drops gradually itll be a good fall. Thanks for the help.

yester day i caught 7 big blues in the inlet my smallest was 8lbs and my biggest was 14 1/2lbs. i caught them on needlefish plugs, metal lips and a rapala jointed husky jerk
