My buddies and I fish all around Eastern Long Island.  Usually we hook porgies, blacks, and stripers.  I am looking for information on winter fishing both from a small craft or surf casting.  Thanks.

Blackfishing is doin real good.  Check around for wrecks and things like that.  Surfcastings been slow and will be very cruel to a newby.  If you want to get into surfcasting try and get lessons from bill wetzel or steve knapik.  Theyre lots of money but well worth it.  Goodluck.
