hi all im new to lifr. im new to fresh water fishing and hoping i can learn a lot from you all .. all tips and advice is welcome. i would like to know all the hot spots for walleye and bass and all othere fresh water fish. thanks.

hi HH im going to start fresh water fishing this spring on longisland im going to start at lake ronkonkama.i will be fishing from a boat. thanks

dont fish fresh alot but i know a bit.  for smallmouth look for humps.  humps are only visible on map and if theres wind they apear as "shaky" water on the surface.  walleye is strictly a night game.  for perch theres about a 200 yard long area of flats located about 150 feet away from a concrete wall , try bumpin bottom with worms and you should hook up.  go to the dec's website and look for a map of ronkonkama.  goodluck.
