Hi Everyone,

I have been in America for nearly a year and i pretty much got a rod from Modells and taught myself how to fish for anything that was in the Sea, although i am better at catching sunburn than fish! I normally fish the Rockaways inlet but i need somewhere else to go as its very crowded and i learn by watching others but if i took all their advice i might aswell fish with hand grenades. I am also in the market for a new rod and reel for surf of shore fishing, i was going to spend $100 but i think i need to spend more. I am not after anything special but something that is not "Modells" crap or at least half decent. Does anyone have any idea what books i could look at to get a better idea of catching something as all i am doing is driving and stopping somewhere to fish but i dont catch alot and the only real success i had was a 32inch srtiper off jones beach.
