Hello everyone. I left L.I. in '82. Been living in Northern NY since. I am visiting my old stompin' grounds 2nd week of April. I won't have a boat, but I would love to surf cast for anything out there. I will be in the Hicksville area. Can anybody recommend a spot to sit down with a cooler, rod, reel & bait and maybe land a nice fish?
I have some great locations for walleye, steelhead, and smallmouth I am willing to share.

yea. at the fire island inlet theres a spot with a rock jetty its called demo point. cast out using poppers of use bunker with a weight and you should have some luck but im not sure about this early in the spring its worth a try.
