I have just started fishing in the Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington area, and I would like to know what good fishing spots there are there. I typically fish from off of the sea wall at the Cold Spring Harbor Lab, but there is seldom and action. I usually fish for striped bass and blue fish, but I'll fish for anything in the area. Also, what lures should I use for catching blue fish and stripers? I typically use a tin, but I am open to new ideas. Lastly, what is the best time for fishing??
