relative insanity -> Bass ackwards in Moriches inlet (9/29/2009 11:18:02 PM)

[:(]   Labor Day monday I fished the inlet, against my will and commonsense, due to family obligations.  Suprisingly, my first drift netted my brother-in-law his first Striper over 35".  Taken on clam on the outgoing just inside the break on the west side.

relative insanity -> RE: Still Bass ackwards in Moriches inlet (9/29/2009 11:36:23 PM)

[:(]Fished again on a saturday(9/26) I must be insane.  So I thought as on my arrival I was greeted by a mullet-headed reject snagged on bottom creating havoc in the middle of the Inlet.  On my first drift, Billy Ray Cyrus drives right behind my boat and cuts both of my lines.  Yielding to better judgement, and the thought of the image my natural reaction would have on the two impressionable youths on board, I continued to fish.  Oddly enough the next frw drifts produced two 35" keepers.  Both were purposely and proudly displayed to my mullet wearing friend.

Bass ackwards was the fact that they were both taken on live eel in the middle of the morning on the incoming tide.  West cut at the end of the jetty.
